The City Committee will be meeting virtually via Zoom to reorganize and elect new officers on Saturday May 23rd at 11:00 am.

Offices to be Elected:

The City-wide offices are: Chair, Female Vice Chair, Male Vice Chair, Secretary, Treasurer, and Diversity/Affirmative Action Chair.  These officers serve on the Executive Committee along with all of the 7 Ward Chairs.

You eligible to vote if you are a member of your Ward Committee (either elected on the March 3rd ballot or if added-on at a meeting of your ward committee when they met after March 3rd).

If you Want to Run:

1. We are encouraging, but not requiring candidates to submit a short 2 paragraph statement introducing themselves, sharing why they are running, and what they would like to see the SDCC accomplish in the next two years.  Please send which seat you are running for, and your statement to our current Chair [email protected] by May 16. We will share these statements with the members in advance of the meeting. 
2. The rules also allow any eligible voting member attending the virtual meeting to be nominated during the meeting. To more smoothly facilitate the meeting, if possible, please submit your candidate statement by May 16.
3. During the meeting, candidates will give a 1 to 2 minute speech.
4. If there is a contested vote, Voting Members will be emailed a link to an online voting system OPA which will record the votes.
