SDCC general meeting and forum for candidates for City Councilor-at-Large. Join to hear the candidates share their visions for Somerville and answer questions about their policy positions in a moderated forum.

The agenda will include:

• Welcome - 5 minutes

• Presentation on a Massachusetts bill that removes some of the existing exemptions in state law for vaccination and immunization requirements for admittance to public schools: H 4294: An Act relative to vaccinations and public health - 10 minutes

• Vote on resolution to support a bill protecting access to abortions in Massachusetts: The ROE Act (S.1209, H.3320) - 5 minutes

• Vote on resolution to support a bill in Congress that would establish a new grant program to support projects between governments, the fishing and shipping industries, non-governmental organizations, and researchers to protect the right whale population: SAVE Right Whales Act (H.R.1568) - 5 minutes

• Somerville City Councilor At-Large Candidate Forum - 80 minutes

7 of the 8 Candidates have agreed to attend. One will be out of state that day. This is a great opportunity to meet the candidates, which include 4 incumbents and 4 challengers.
